RCL has enabled many Indian Industries to go in for Tungsten Carbide wear parts, where previously Hardened Steel and Steel alloys were being used. Various Grades and Products for Metal forming, Wear resistant and Sheet Metal working applications are available in this category.
Metal Forming Tools:
The properties of high hardness & wear resistance combined with good toughness are provided in our metal forming tools to withstand extremes of temperature and pressure. The high degree of wear resistance leads to extend die life while achieving desired quality of material drawn such as surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
The products under this category are Wire Drawing Nibs / Dies, Bar and Tube Drawing Pellets, Cold Heading Pellets, Swagging Dies (for automobile industries), Extrusion Dies etc. in various shapes, sizes and TC grades.
Cold Heading Pellets (CHP) :
For Cold Heading and Hot Forging applications, RCL has introduced the ideal Tungsten carbide grades. At the core of any Tungsten carbide, Grade is the technique of producing the powders of right morphology and getting it right very first time. Employing the latest techniques, we have mastered this art.
The uniformly distributed grain structure gives our grades the optimum hardness as well as toughness required for several applications like Cold Heading & Hot Forging.
Since the requirement of hardness & toughness of TC varies from work material to work material, application to application, operation to operation and type of heading machine, we have introduced two grades i.e. RW 40 & RW 50 to cover all requirements.
RW 40 grade With 20 % binder content and evenly distributed grain structure, this straight grade is for longer die life for milder applications under controlled conditions. RW 40 grade is a harder grade compared to RW 50 grade, and has a better wear resistance.
Applications : 1) Where heading forces are lower, material deformation is less with moderate impact loads and where the machine environment is stable, like in multi-station Bolt Formers, our RW 40 is most economical choice.
2) In Cold Heading like Extrusion, Extra Long Extrusion, Body Blank and forging without pointing, our RW 40 grade performs with a marked difference.
One needs to explore the possibilities of different applications to take advantage of higher wear resistance of RW 40 grade for a better die life.
RW 50 grade With 26 % binder content and a medium size evenly distributed grain structure, this straight grade has the ultimate toughness the TC has to offer. RW 50 grade is most suited for all types of applications in Cold Heading as well as Hot Forging.
Applications : 1) Where the conditions of heading force, material deformation and the machine condition are adverse, RW 50 grade is a real workhorse with high impact resistance. 2) In Cold Heading like Trap Extrusion, Extrusion with Pointing, Forging with twin bearing faces, Double Extrusion with pointing & Wheel Bolts are very well taken care of by our RW 50 grade.
This grade is equally suitable for multi station Bolt & Nut Formers as well as
1) die
2) blow Headers.
Wherever one needs to keep the inventory of Tungsten Carbide Pellets low, RW 50 grade is the grade for all applications.
TC Flow Beans / Nozzles
Flow Beans / Nozzles :
Flow Beans are specially designed nozzles used in Rock Roller or Tricon Bit for passing liquid media at high pressure for flushing of drilled holes.
RCL Nozzles are designed to suit Indian Geological conditions. It's complex internal profile is the result of application of sophisticated technology.
Other applications of the Nozzles are in Oil-fired furnaces, Sand Blasting machines, Short Peening machines, Pressure Jets, Chemical Handling Equipment, Ceramic Tiles Manufacturing etc.
Mining Tungsten Carbide Products

Jute Eyelets
Tungsten Carbide wear parts used in spinning and weaving machinery particularly in jute industry are eyelets. These are to prevent vibration/ deflection of jute thread at high speed. Rapicut Tungsten Carbide jute eyelets give long uninterrupted running of the machine.
